Remembering a Friend – Joe Vickers
Joe Vickers, a senior manager with Morrison Williams in Toronto, has attended our golf tournament, has provided prizes, purchased auction items and has befriended many who have met him over the years. His generosity and thoughtfulness have benefited many. Several years ago, Joe decided the Richie Mann Invitational should have golf balls and he arranged to obtain, customize and provide balls for all participants the past few years, including this year. Joe recently lost his battle with cancer and our tournament, and many personally, have lost a friend. Thank you Joe! You will be missed.
Craig Girls Do it Again
Jessie and Janie Craig of Seafoam, Pictou County have once again devoted a large part of their summer to producing and selling their "garden stones" to raise money for Breast Cancer awareness. These young ladies also made a Breast Cancer blanket and sold tickets to generate additional revenue for the cause. Since they began their fundraising efforts years ago, Jessie and Janie have donated their money to the Richie Mann Invitational. With this year's contribution, their remarkable efforts have resulted in over $7500 raised. Our tournament organizers and the Breast Cancer Foundation salutes, and thanks Jessie and Janie for their generosity and support.
